Gone Missing In New York

April 15, 2012

This blog is dedicated to missing New Yorkers. The Charlie Project (www.charlieproject.org) lists 380 missing New Yorkers on the website. Can you imagine? There are at least 380 of my fellow New Yorkers missing and someone desparately looking for each one of them. The FBI websites lists 692,944 missing people entered into their NCIC for the year 2010 alone. If being missing was a disease there would be a national task force on the problem.

My goal is to highlight one missing person a week from New York. I am going to use that “New York” thing a little loosely. I will consider any missing person originally from New York, disappeared in New York or may have passed through New York. Why only New York? Because I am a New Yorker and feel that handling the “whole country” would become overwhelming. I want to focus on one area of the missing.

If you have a family member or loved one who has gone missing, under any circumstance, please feel free to contact me so I can feature him/her on my weekly blog.

Only by working  together can we bring them home!
